New Student Orientation
(Freshman and Transfer Students entering Fall 2012)
Orientation is a structured program that offers new students and transfer student the opportunity to establish a link with faculty in their intended major, become familiar with the campus and the array of academic and campus life programs available and "take care of business" to prepare for move-in on August 9.
New freshman who have paid their $200 confirmation deposit and new transfer students are invited to attend one of the Summer Orientation Sessions held on June 15, 22, July 13, or 20. Students may register online or click here [pdf] for a printable reservation form to mail in.
A confirmation letter or e-mail will be sent to the student with driving directions, suggested parking and additional information about the day's agenda. Check-in for the one-day orientation program will be held between 8 and 8:30 a.m. in the Arts & Sciences fountain area. Late Fall Semester Orientation - August 9
This Orientation session is designed for transfer and international students who were unable to attend one of the June or July programs. Check in will be held between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. in the Arts & Sciences Auditorium and the orientation program will conclude by 3 p.m. The student fee is $30 (There is no charge for guests who accompany registered students).
