SAT / ACT Information

Beginning with the March 2005 administration of the SAT, the College Board has added a new component – a writing assessment.  The ACT has also added an optional writing test.  Applicants for admissions to Georgia College are not required to submit an official SAT or ACT writing assessment score report.

Note: Georgia College will utilize only the Critical Reading and Math scores from the SAT and the English, Math and Composite scores from the ACT.  If a student submits the writing assessment from SAT or ACT, Georgia College will  review the timed writing samples from these tests as part of the student's overall portfolio.

  •    The September ACT is the last ACT opportunity to be considered for Early Action admission.

  •    The October SAT is the last SAT opportunity to be considered for Early Action admission.

  •    The December SAT and ACT are the last test dates for scores to be eligible for scholarship consideration.

  •   The February ACT is the final ACT opportunity for regular admission consideration.

  •    The March  SAT is the final SAT opportunity for regular admission consideration.
