Let the Journey Begin
Tours begin at the Georgia College Welcome Center, located in the University Museum at 221 N. Clarke Street. For a campus map, CLICK HERE.
From Atlanta
Take 1-20 East to Exit 114 (Madison). Turn right onto Highway 441 South. Follow Highway 441 South to Milledgeville (about 45 miles). Entering Milledgeville, continue straight so that you follow the business section of Hwy. 441 to Montgomery Street. Turn left. The Welcome Center is on the corner of Clarke and Montgomery Streets.
From South Atlanta
From South Atlanta, take I-75 South and use either Exit 212 or Exit 205 to travel to Jackson, Georgia. In Jackson, take Highway 16 to Monticello, then Highway 212 to Milledgeville. Highway 212 ends at Highway 22. Turn left. The Welcome Center is on the corner of Clarke and Montgomery Streets.
From Macon
Take either Highway 22 or Highway 49. Both routes lead straight to Georgia College.
To reach the Welcome Center: if traveling Highway 22, the Welcome Center is located at the intersection of Highway 22 (Montgomery Street) and Clarke Street. If traveling Highway 49, turn left onto Clarke Street at the intersection of Highway 49 (Hancock Street) and Clarke Street. The Welcome Center will be on your right at the next intersection (intersection of Clarke and Montgomery Streets).
From Augusta or Columbia, SC
On 1-20 west, exit at Camak (Exit 165), follow Route 80 to Warrenton, Highway 16 to Sparta, and Highway 22 to Milledgeville. To reach the Welcome Center, turn right onto Clarke Street at the intersection of Highway 22 (Hancock Street) and Clarke Street. The Welcome Center will be on your right at the next intersection (intersection of Clarke and Montgomery Streets).
From Savannah
From Savannah, take I-16 West, Exit Highway 441 North at Dublin. Follow 441 North to Gray/Milledgeville Road (Highway 22 East). Turn right. The Welcome Center is located at the intersection of Highway 22 (Montgomery Street) and Clarke Street.
Rental Car
If you fly to Macon Municipal or Hartsfield Atlanta International Airport, a rental car is your best option for travel to Milledgeville.
Parking
You have several options for parking (CAMPUS MAP):
1. The corner of Liberty and Montgomery Streets
2. The North Clarke Street Parking (gravel lot)
3. The corner of Wilkinson and Montgomery Streets
If you wish to visit the Office of Admissions, we are located in the historic Newell Watts House at 201 S. Clarke Street and welcome your visit between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. Please note that daily campus tours begin at the Georgia College Welcome Center, not at the Office of Admissions.
