A transfer applicant’s
overall grade point average on all college
or university work attempted must meet the
appropriate GPA (as determined by the
standard calculation process used by the
Georgia College & State University Office
of the Registrar) requirement associated
with the number of transferable, semester
hours a student has earned. Some specific
majors require additional admissions
procedures and higher grade point averages
for transfer admission. In general, all
academic grades earned, including Ds and
Fs, from every college attended are figured
in the calculation of the transfer grade
point average. If a D or F grade course is
repeated, grades earned on both
courses are included in the transfer
average calculation. As with its own
students, GCSU does not recognize plus or
minus (+/-) adjustments to grades in the
calculation.
