Alternative Spring Break

What a Relief! Facebook Group!
The ADP What A Relief annual alternative spring break project sends a Georgia College delegation of students, faculty, and staff to southeastern United States regions for the purpose of rehabilitating homes damaged by tropical storms and hurricanes. Commenced in 2007, groups worked in Port Charlotte, Florida and Ocean Springs and Waveland, Mississippi.
The What A Relief 2009 Alternative Spring Break GC delegation will travel to Immokalee, Florida on March 22 and return on March 28. Immokalee is 36 miles east of the Gulf Coast community of Ft. Meyers in southwest Florida. An Interest meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 16 at 8 p.m. in the Beeson lower level conference room. We will work with I HOPE in Immokalee, Florida. The GC delegation will live in a five bedroom/four bathroom home owned by Friendship Baptist Church.
Immokalee is on the northwest border of the Big Cypress National Preserve and 30 miles north of Everglades National Park.
