2006: Michael earned American Baseball Coaches Association All-American honors as a junior, and was also a First Team All-Region and All-Peach Belt Conference selection ... he was tied for the team lead and was tied for second in the PBC with an 11-1 record in 16 appearances and 15 starts ... posted a 2.93 ERA in a team-leading 101.1 innings pitched ... led GCSU with 63 strikeouts while issuing only 20 walks ...  went 7-1 with a 3.32 ERA in nine PBC starts ... named PBC Pitcher of the Week on March 13 ... earned first win after holding eventual national champion University of Tampa to just one unearned run on one hit in 5.2 innings ... struck out a season high 10 batters in 7.2 innings against Limestone, allowing no runs on five hits ... pitched a season high eight innings in a win against Columbus State ... tossed a minimum of 5.1 innings in every start.  Junior College: Michael transferred from Gloucester County College in New Jersey where he played for two years under Coach Rob Valli and won a national championship ... he was a junior college All-American as a sophomore and a two-time All-Region selection ... named to the Junior College World Series All-Tournament team as a sophomore. High School: Michael graduated from Cardinal O'Hara High School in New Jersey where he was First Team All-Catholic and Third Team All-City selection. Personal: Michael is the son of John and Kathy Fleming ... he is a physical education major ... favorite athlete is Barry Zito ... played with the New Bern River Rats in the summer of 2005 and 2006 in the Coastal Plains League ... winning the JUCO National Championship and being drafted have been his biggest sports thrills.
