The Centennial Center is the place to be
during basketball season as the GCSU men's
basketball team plays a fast-paced,
aggressive style making things difficult on
visiting opponents. Since joining NCAA
Division II, GCSU has won four Peach Belt
Conference Championships (1997, 1999, 2000, 2006),
two Peach Belt Tournament Championships
(1997, 1999) and has advanced to the NCAA
Tournament four times (1997, 1999, 2000, 2006)
including a trip to the Elite Eight in 2000.
The Bobcats are always one of the most
exciting teams to watch, and they play at one
of the finest facilities in the Southeast.
The Centennial Center holds more than 4,000
seats for fans to take in the all of the
thrills of NCAA basketball. Fans also have
the chance to win great prizes in various
promotions at the games. In addition to
watching great games, fans are also
entertained by the three-time national
champion Bobcat Cheerleaders and the GCSU
Dance Team "The Sassy Cats."
