you're interested in.
Women's
soccer was added as Georgia College's 10th
varsity sport in the spring of 2003. The
program played its first season as a varsity
sport in the fall of 2004 and is already
attracting some of the best soccer talent
from Georgia, the southeast and other parts
of the country as well.
With 24 national championships to its credit
since the conference formed in 1991, the
Peach Belt is widely recognized as one of the
top D-II conferences in the country. GCSU offers scholarships and also welcomes
walk-ons in women's soccer.
The soccer team plays its home matches at
Bobcat Field, located at the Peeler Complex
on the GCSU West Campus. As a GCSU student,
you will receive free entry into every Bobcat
sports event with your student I.D.
If you are interested in
being considered for the team, contact Coach
Juan Pablo Favero as soon as possible
(preferably before the end of your junior
year in high school). Soccer players report
for pre-season training camp in early
August, and the team does not hold formal
tryouts for walk-ons.
