The GCSU Softball team has emerged as one of
the top programs in the southeast. The Lady
Bobcats enjoyed one of their finest seasons in 2003
when the team won the NCAA Regional
Championship and advanced to the College
World Series and national championship game
before finishing as the
national-runner up.
The success continued in 2006 as the Lady
Bobcats once again won the
NCAA Regional
Championship to
advance to the World Series.
Along
with their success, the Lady Bobcats are
recently ranked No. 2 in the National
Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) during
recent polls. GCSU has made three straight
appearances in the NCAA tournament, those
years being 2006, 2007, and 2008.
The Lady Bobcats play their home games at the
Peeler Complex on the GCSU West Campus.
GCSU has made many appearances in the
national rankings over the last several
years, and a dedicated fan-base makes the
Peeler Complex an exciting place to be during
the spring.
