Internal Audit Introduces Internship Initiative
Internal Audit has introduced an audit internship program in cooperation with the School of Business. The internship began Fall 2007 with two advanced students in Accounting. The internship consists of conducting audit activities and writing reports on field work. The program benefits the Office of Internal Audit through added staffing and students learn firsthand how audits are performed by working with an experienced internal auditor.

Althea Mumelo
Althea Mumelo is a Master in Accountancy (MAac) student graduating in December 2009. She plans to take the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam after graduation and pursue a career in financial accounting or auditing. She is passionate about cooking, reading, and traveling.
John Hartmann
John Hartmann is a Master in Accountancy (MAac) student graduating in May 2010. After graduation he plans to pursue a professional career within the accounting field. Also during that time, he plans to begin his studies to pass the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination.
