PARKING TIPS
- No parking in any shuttle stops, fire lanes, or grassy areas. At all times, you must be parked between two white lines in your designated lot.
- No parking in reserved parking spaces. If there is a sign in the space you are parked, you will need to move immediately to avoid being towed. Do not lend your permit to anyone. If you lend your permit to a friend and your friend gets a ticket, you will be responsible for paying the fine.
- No parking on any curbs at any time, even if there is no sign posted or the curb is not painted; your car will be towed if you park on a curb.
- If you need to unload and can’t find a parking space designated for your lot, you may pull into any lot, turn on your flashers, and we will give you 20 minutes to load or unload your vehicle. In the event that you stay parked for more than 20 minutes, your car will be ticketed.
- If a visitor parking pass is needed, please visit the Parking office at The Depot, Box Office Books, the Bobcat Card office, or Public Safety to pick up the pass.
- If you forget your permit, please call the Parking office at 478-4445-7433 and notify us so we will not ticket your vehicle.
- All time-limited spaces are strictly enforced; please remember to move your vehicle prior to the posted time allotted.
- All cars must be parked going with the flow of traffic; parking against the flow of traffic will result in a ticket.
- Blue hash marks alongside the handicap spaces are for lift access and are not a valid parking space.
- If you lock your keys in your car, or if your vehicle will not start, please call Public Safety at 478-445-4400 and then call the Parking office so you are not ticketed.
- In the event that you park in the Thomas Street or Clarke Street gravel lot, please make sure to park in front of a gray stop bar, as yellow stop bars are no parking zones.
- Please do not park at The Pit (across from The Depot lot) unless you are using the park; you will be ticketed and towed by the city of Milledgeville if you are parked there illegally.
- Do not park in the spaces across the street from the resident halls on Greene Street, as those spaces are for the people who live in those homes. While there are signs posted saying “resident permit required”, these signs are not referring to your Georgia College parking permit and the city enforces compliance of this ordinance.
- If you have any questions please call our office at 478-445-7433 or visit our website at www.gcsu.edu/parking.
