BS in Biology
Degree Requirements

All biology majors will receive thorough instruction in the scientific process and interpretation of scientific data along with experimental design and experience with modern instrumentation.

Three broad subdivisions of biology are invariably recognized: Cellular and Molecular Biology; Organismal Biology; and Evolution/Ecology.

Biology graduates will have a knowledge and awareness of all three areas and specific knowledge regarding: the chemical composition of life, cell structure and function, molecular, Mendelian, and population genetics, the diversity of life, the form and function of living systems, evolutionary theory, and ecology.
