Dr. Payne
The J. Whitney Bunting College of Business welcomes new dean, Dr. James E. Payne.
Dr. Payne holds a Ph.D. in economics with more than two decades of experience in higher education.

Most recently, Dr. Payne held the position of provost at the University of New Orleans. He has also served as the regional vice chancellor for academic affairs and research at the University of South Florida Polytechnic, where he also was a professor of finance and economics. Payne also served as interim dean, chair and professor of economics at Illinois State University.
