CAREER FIELDS

Accounting – The Accounting degree prepares students for numerous opportunities for rewarding careers in industry, finance, non-profits organizations, healthcare and government performing duties in tax planning and compliance, auditing, information systems and financial management advising services.
Computer Science – The Computer Science degree prepares students for opportunities from employers across all areas of business, state and local government and educational organizations. Upon graduation, areas of employment include programming, data base management, development and design, project management, support and testing, computer system and network installation, maintenance and administration, or continue studying at the graduate level.
Economics – The Economics degree prepares graduates for graduate studies in economics, finance or business, law school study or work in government or business. Economics majors have an advantages in the job market because employers recognize that economics curricula are rigorous and challenging.
Management – The Management majors are prepared for administrative careers at the entry level work in large and small organizations in areas such as office systems, operations, human resources, quality control, planning and purchasing for government, non-profit organizations, manufacturing firms, financial institutions, hospitality and healthcare industries.
Management Information Systems – The Management Information Systems major prepares students to begin a professional career by working with computer-based information systems. Management Information Systems professionals have multiple career options, such as project managers, information systems analyst, web development specialist, network or data base administrators, software development specialist, data analyst, and computer trainer and educator.
Marketing – The marketing major prepares graduates for marketing and sales careers at the operational and management level. Graduates work in sales, advertising and research, retailing and brand/product management for department stores, government agencies and service, financial and insurance companies.
