How to Register Online

To register you must access PAWS. You can access PAWS by going through MyCats, or going directly to paws.gcsu.edu. If you go to PAWS through MyCats, you do not have to sign in to PAWS.

If you go to paws.gcsu.edu you will need to Click on "Click Here to get to PAWS":
    Select "Enter Secure Area"
    Enter your User ID and PIN.
    Your user ID will be your 911 number
    Your PIN in PAWS is usually your birth date unless you have changed it. You would enter the date as 6 digits. For example, if your birth date were March 3, 1985, you would enter 030385.

First Check your HOLDS. To check your HOLDS:
    Select "Student and Financial Aid"
    Select "Student Records"
    Select "View Holds"

If you have no HOLDS, go on to register. If you have HOLDS, you must get them resolved before you can register on line.

To Register:
    Select "Student & Financial Aid"
    Select "Registration"
    Select "Term"
    Select "Add/Drop Class"

Enter the CRN for the class you wish to select, or you can search for a class by using the course search option at the bottom of the page. Once you have entered all the courses you want, you can print a copy of your schedule by selecting the option at the bottom of the page.

NOTE: You may encounter a variety of error messages when trying to register. For example, PAWS will not allow you to register for two courses during the same time period. It will also not allow you to register if you are currently taking the pre-requisite needed for the course. You must register for a lab with a science.

If you encounter a registration error that you do not understand, contact your advisor or the registrar's office.

NOTE: During this procedure only courses with seats available will come up during a search. If you want to see all courses that are being taught in a semester you should use the procedure below.

Finding Class Schedules
    Go to paws.gcsu.edu
    Click on "Click here to get to PAWS"
    Scroll down the menu to "Class Schedules"
    Enter Semester and Discipline you are interested in. For example: Spring 2008, Math
    All courses for Spring 2008 term in the Math department will be displayed.

Normal hours for the College of Business Advisement Center (205 Atkinson Hall) are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
