Master of Management Information Systems (MMIS)

                              
The Master of Management Information Systems (MMIS) degree is designed to prepare you for a position in designing, implementing, and managing corporate information resources. The academic program consists of 30 hours of work. 

The curriculum for the MMIS degree is based on recommendations from AITP, The Association of Information Technology Professionals, and AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

Program of Study 

I. Foundation Courses*…………… 0-9 Semester Hours 

Principles of Accounting I
College-Level Statistics 
College-Level Economics or Finance

* Foundation courses must be completed with a grade of "C" or better.

II. Business Core Required…………… 3 Semester Hours 

MGMT 6135 Organizational Theory and Behavior

III. Information Systems Core…………… 21 Semester Hours 

MMIS 6293 Emerging Trends in Management Information Systems
MMIS 6295 IT Infrastructure
MMIS 6296 Database Management 
MMIS 6298 Information Analysis and Process Innovation
MMIS 6299 Research Project 
MMIS 6393 Information Technology Project Management


IV. Information Systems Electives…… 9+ Semester Hours
Any 6000 level MMIS course (Excluding MMIS 6195 and MMIS 6196)
BCOM 6221 or BCOM 6222
MKTG 6161

A study abroad course and/or an internship may be taken.


Additional courses may be required if you have not met the prerequisites.
