The J. Whitney Bunting College of Business Advisory Board
To insure community input to the decision making process, the College of Business has its own Advisory Board consisting of business leaders residing throughout central Georgia. The Advisory Board is a diversified group in terms of gender, racial composition and size of businesses that the members represent. The Advisory Board for the College of Business consists of individuals who are nominated by the Executive Committee and elected by the Advisory Board members.
The purpose of the Advisory Board is "to provide advice, guidance, and support for the continuing development of high quality business programs at Georgia College & State University."
The Advisory Board assists in promoting the College of Business to the business community, augmenting the College of Business' existing career counseling and placement services, providing the faculty with continuing opportunities for interaction with the business community, and sharing special insights through classroom presentations. Although fund raising is not a purpose of the Board, a natural result of the Advisory Board has been financial support for many of the College of Business activities.

Alumni/Student Networking Event – On Friday, March 6, 2009, business students traveled to Macon to network with Georgia College alumni at a luncheon held at Goodwill's conference center. Alumni participated in a round-table discussion of career issues. This format has been used very successfully in Atlanta at sites such as Turner Broadcasting and Chick-fil-A.
