Late Fees
Students who have not paid their bill in full by the payment deadline will not have their courses dropped, but will incur a $75.00 late fee. This fee is waived for students who have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or alternate HOPE Application (GSFAPPS) AND it is electronically received by Georgia College prior to the established deadline by the Financial Aid Office. This exception is being made based on their anticipated need for assistance (by completing the aid application) due to the self identified economic situation of them and their families. This fee is also waived for eligible International students (in F-1 and J-1 visa status), who have documented proof of financial support and have been issued the I-20 or DS-2019 Certificate of Eligibility by the International Education Center (or partnering exchange organization).
Students who still have not finalized their bill at the close of business on the first day of classes will be dropped from all courses. All students dropped for non-payment at this time and who desire to re-register for the term will be charged an additional $150.00 fee to have classes reinstated.
