A partnership of the
University Career Center and Alumni Relations

Do you remember your first job search?
If you were like most new graduates, you lacked experience and contacts within your field until someone helped you get your foot in the door.  Now as an alumni, parent, or friend of Georgia College, you can share your professional journey and experiences with students and alumni as a Bobcat Career Network Advisor.

A partnership between the University Career Center and Alumni Affairs, the Bobcat Career Network is an online database available to students and alumni registered with the University Career Center.  To become a Bobcat Career Network Advisor, complete an online profile.

Through your participation, Bobcat Career Network Advisors agree to
• Offer advice on careers, industries, and companies
• Provide information about their geographical area
• Suggest additional contacts and/or offer job and internship
   search tips

Network Advisors can also indicate in their profile that they would like to participate in University Career Center events such as career fairs, workshops, resume review days, and mock interview days.

Each Bobcat Network Advisor determines his or her commitment level.
You determine how often, and by what means, you are contacted by students and alumni who are registered with the Career Center.  Participation does not require Network Advisors to provide jobs or internships nor continue extended communication.  We also provide students and graduates with a set of guidelines (doc) for the proper use of the database.
