Student Activities Center – Magnolia Ballroom
Career Fair: 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Campus Interviews: 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. (optional activity)
Employers: Register for the event through Career Connection.
For details on the event, please read below.
Our annual Career Expo is our main networking event of the year and primarily serves majors in the Colleges of Business as well as Arts & Sciences. To help make the most of your trip to Milledgeville, employers are also invited to participate in an Interview Day in the afternoon. Any registered career fair employer may participate in pre-scheduled interviews after the event in our ballroom. We hope that the opportunity to interview students immediately after the event will help you get a greater return on your decision to recruit at Georgia College.
This event is heavily marketed to seniors in the Colleges of Business and Arts and Sciences. Student participation ranges from 175 - 250 students. In addition, we promote the event to juniors and sophomores who are seeking internships, summer jobs, and part-time jobs. We also encourage freshmen to attend so that they can gather career information related to their majors and interests. Graduate students and alumni are also invited to attend but tend to participate in smaller numbers than our undergraduate students.
We also offer specific career fairs for information technology, education, nursing, and accounting. If your company recruits information technology majors only, consider attending our IT Career Fair on February 5. Our Teacher Recruitment Day will be on January 31 and our Nursing Career Expo will be in March If you have immediate needs for accounting staff in the spring, we encourage you to attend the spring Career Expo on March 5 since our Accounting Career Fair is hosted in the fall on September 23.
Register online through Career Connection. Please login or register using your email address and the password: bobcat. You can also use Career Connection for FREE job and internship postings. If you would like to also conduct interviews after the event, please contact Sarah Schanck by February 20.
Early Registration until February 18: $90.
Non-Profit/Govt. Registration: $50. This special rate is for 5013c non-profit agencies and government entities only.
Additional lunches are $10 each. Registration also includes a table, chairs, marketing of event to students, and transportation from the parking lot.
You can also register as a sponsor! Sponsorships are available for $250. Sponsors receive a prime table location as well as logo inclusion in all printed and web-based marketing materials for students. Marketing materials include our website, flyers, campus newspaper ads, table tents, and signage the day of the event.
The event is open to for-profit, non-profit, and government agencies who are recruiting for internships, full-time jobs, and summer positions.
The career fair will be an open networking time for all students and alumni. This part of the event will allow you to promote your opportunities while also meeting potential candidates.
If your company would like to participate in the interviews after the career fair, please contact Sarah Schanck by February 24. To participate in the interviews, you must submit a job description and requirements so that we can best create your student schedule through Career Connection.
