For details on the event, please read below.
Our annual Career Expo is our main networking event of the year and primarily serves majors in the Colleges of Business as well as Arts & Sciences. To help make the most of your trip to Milledgeville, employers are also invited to participate in an Interview Day in the afternoon. Any registered career fair employer may participate in pre-scheduled interviews after the event in our ballroom. We hope that the opportunity to interview students immediately after the event will help you get a greater return on your decision to recruit at Georgia College.
Student Participation
This event is heavily marketed to seniors in the Colleges of Business and Arts and Sciences. Student participation ranges from 175 - 250 students. In addition, we promote the event to juniors and sophomores who are seeking internships, summer jobs, and part-time jobs. We also encourage freshmen to attend so that they can gather career information related to their majors and interests. Graduate students and alumni are also invited to attend but tend to participate in smaller numbers than our undergraduate students.
We also offer specific career fairs for information technology, education, nursing, and accounting. If your company recruits information technology majors only, consider attending our IT Career Fair on January 30. Our Teacher Recruitment Day will be on January 25 and our Nursing Career Expo will be on March 4. If you have immediate needs for accounting staff, we encourage you to attend the spring Career Expo on March 11 since our Accounting Career Fair is hosted in the fall.
