Recruiting On Campus
The University Career Center works with employers and educational organizations who are interested in recruiting students for internships, full-time jobs, part-time jobs, fellowships, and graduate school programs.
Employers and other recruiters may use our Career Connection software to post jobs, career opportunities, and internships, schedule campus visits, and register for career fairs. Before recruiting at Georgia College, please read our Guidelines for Recruiting. We also recommend reading standards developed by the National Association Colleges & Employers.
Registering and Posting Jobs in Career Connection
Career Connection is a new service for our employers so that you can more easily connect with Georgia College students and alumni. In addition to free postings, employers can also review students resumes online. However, to have access to resumes, we must first verify that your company is hiring for salaried, hourly, or internship positions.
You may access Career Connection by clicking here.
Please print our GC Career Connection Guide for Employers(pdf) to assist you as your login and navigate the system.
Internships and Cooperative Education (Co-op) Opportunities
Companies, non-profits, and federal agencies can also use Career Connection to post internship and co-op opportunities. Employers can click here for detailed information on our internship programs.
Career Fairs and Networking Events
We host nine different career fairs on campus each year: Senior Picnic, Part-time Job Fair, Accounting Career Fair, Internship Fair, Graduate School Fair, Teacher Recruitment and Mock Interview Day, GC Career Expo and Interview Day, and the Nursing & Health Sciences Career Expo. In addition, we also participate in the Georgia Careers Consortium Career Opportunities Fair and the GACE College to Career Fair. These events are great opportunities to network with students. Click here for more information on how to register for these events.
Our campus interview program allows employers to conduct interviews on campus with students and alumni. In addition to companies recruiting for full-time positions, those organizations hiring for internships and summer employment are also encouraged to conduct interviews at our Career Center. To request an interview date, contact Sarah Schanck at 478-445-5384 or login to Career Connection and request an interview date.
Directions to campus: If you have already scheduled a date and need directions to campus, click here (pdf). If you have not received a parking pass, email the Career Center.
Mock Interview and Resume Review Days
Setting up a day to help students with their interview skills or to offer resume critiques is a great way to get students thinking about your company as a possible place of employment. This type of event is especially ideal for those of you who are uncertain of your hiring projections or only hire a few times each year. To request such a date, contact us or request a date on Career Connection under Campus Interviews.
As a Career Center sponsor, your company will be a featured employer on campus. Each September, companies can participate in our Senior Picnic as a participating sponsor. This event helps your company network with over 500 seniors who will graduate in December or May of the coming year. To learn how your company can participate in the Senior Picnic, contact
Sarah Schanck or Mary Roberts.
We also welcome career fair sponsors throughout the year. Our basic career fair sponsorship is only $250 and includes registration for up to four recruiters to one of our on campus career fairs. The logos for our Career Fair sponsors appear on all on campus career fair publicity. Other sponsorship opportunities are currently being developed. Please contact us for more information.
