Mary Roberts, Ed.D., Director
Mary has served as the director since 2007 and has over fifteen years of experience in career services and higher education field. Mary has an Ed.D. in Student Affairs Leadership from the University of Georgia, an M.Ed. in Student Personnel Services from the University of South Carolina, and a B.A. in English from Presbyterian College. Mary is a past chair of the University System Committee for Career Services and the Georgia Careers Consortium and serves as the advisor to the Georgia College chapter of Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity. Mary is an active member of Georgia Association of Colleges and Employers (GACE) and National Association of Colleges & Employers (NACE).
Dwayne Peterson, Assistant Director
Dwayne joined the Career Center team in August 2015. Previously, Dwayne was the Assistant Director of Employer Relations and a Career Coach at the University of Florida. Dwayne has an M.S. in College Student Personnel from Miami University of Ohio and an M.B.A. from the University of North Florida as well as a B.A. in Music Studies from the University of South Florida. Dwayne is an active member of the National Career Development Association (NCDA), College Student Educators International (ACPA), National Association of Colleges & Employers (NACE), Georgia Association of Colleges and Employers (GACE), and Beta Theta Pi.
Josey Cameron, Assistant Director of Employer Relations & Internships
Josey has been with the Career Center since first joining as an Internship Coordinator in summer 2016. In his current role, he leads the Employer Relations and Internship team to prepare students for the internship search process while helping employers making connections with these students. Josey works closely with employers to determine the best strategy for their organization and also serves as a liaison with the College of Business. Josey has worked in higher education since 2008 in various roles within student affairs. Josey received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Georgia College in 2007 and Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from Georgia Southern University in 2014. He is also an active member of Georgia Association of Colleges and Employers (GACE) and the National Association of Colleges & Employers (NACE).
Felicia Moutry, PhD, Internship Coordinator
Felicia joined the Career Center team in 2017 as part of the Employer Relations and Internship Team. Prior to working at Georgia College, Felicia was a faculty member and administrator with the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Argosy University. She also served as a Career Counselor and Program Director with National Institutes of Health. Felicia has a PhD in Health Psychology from Walden University and a Master's degree in Counseling from Loyola. Felicia completed her undergraduate degree at Hampton University in Speech Communication. In her role at Georgia College, Felicia works directly with students in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Math, Psychology, Public Health, and Exercise Science as they plan and prepare for internships and complete the Career Planning Milestones.
Brittany Archer, Internship Coordinator
Brittany joined the Career Center in Summer 2017 as an internship coordinator. Brittany has a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration, both from Georgia Southern University. Brittany has worked in higher education since 2013. Her background includes recruiting/admissions, enrollment management, event planning, development, and alumni/donor relations. She is a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
Kendra Evans, Internship Coordinator
Kendra Evans joined the Career Center team as an Internship Coordinator in August 2017. Kendra received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Georgia College in 2008 and a Master of Business Administration from Mississippi State University in 2012. Kendra gained experience in higher education when she served as the Assistant Director of the Risk Management, Insurance and Financial Planning program at Mississippi State University. She also holds private sector experience in banking, event planning and economic development. As an Internship Coordinator, Kendra will work with students and employers to develop and maintain internship programs and plan career and internship related events.
Kaela Jimenez, Career Development Coordinator
Kaela joined the Career Center in August 2017 as a Career Development Coordinator. She received her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Auburn University in summer 2017. She also received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Auburn. Kaela previously served in Auburn University’s Career Center for four years. She was a Peer Career Advisor and Graduate Assistant throughout her undergraduate and graduate careers. Kaela is an active member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and the Georgia Association of Colleges and Employers (GACE).
Shameka Mapp, Career Development Coordinator
Shameka joined the Career Center in Summer 2017 as part of the Career Development Team. She has a M.Ed in Adult Education from the University of Georgia and a B.B.A in Management from Augusta State University. Shameka brings several years of experience in student affairs and career development. She has worked for the Georgia Department of Labor and Athens Technical College. As part of the Career Development Team, Shameka works with all majors as they prepare for the transition from college to career.
Pam Santamaria, Career Development Coordinator
Pamela Santamaria joined the Career Center in 2017 as part of the Career Development Team. She has a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from the University of North Florida, and a B.A. in Business Administration and Spanish from Flagler College. Previous to Georgia College, Pam was a graduate assistant in the Career Resource Center at Jacksonville University. She has worked in the event planning industry and has experience in multiple areas of higher education including housing, study abroad, international students, alumni relations, and annual giving.
Jackie Hand, Career Development Specialist
Jackie joined the Career Center in May 2018 and is part of the Career Development Team. Jackie recently earned her M.Ed. in College Student Affairs from the University of West Georgia and received her undergraduate degree from Georgia State University. Prior to coming to GC, Jackie worked in academic advising and residence life as well as within the insurance and hospitality industries.
