Editing Systems
Four editing suites are housed in Atkinson Hall for editing video recorded in the TV studio as well as on remote locations. Here, narrations, background music, video, graphics and special effects are used to create the finished program. A variety of tape formats can be accommodated in the edit process: VHS, SVHS, Mini DV, DV and DVCPro. Once the editing process has been completed, the new DVCPro master can then be sent to air on one of our four cable channels or to the VHS or DVD Duplication Center. Apple G4s and G5s with Final Cut Pro and Photoshop are the University's standard in digital non-linear formats. Additional NL edit labs are located in the School of Liberal Arts & Science Building in the Mass Communication labs in the Library & Instructional Technology Center.
