Harry BattsonHarry Battson

Harry has spent more than 20 years in higher education public relations and marketing communications, with an emphasis on strategies to build the university's reputation and brand.  He has won a national Gold Medal award for excellence in news coverage from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and made numerous presentations at national conferences.

Judy Bailey is an award-winning journalist with more than 20 years experience in print media. Her responsibilities include writing for university publications, creating and distributing news releases, and serving as a liaison with the news media.

Shane came to GCSU in October 2008 after working with a local specialty advertising company for over six years.  As the client manager and graphic designer for the company, he helped clients establish a distinctive brand for themselves within the marketplace.  He has also worked as a freelance graphic designer and web developer for several years, providing services to companies and non-profit organizations on both a regional and national level.  In his current position at GCSU, Shane works with content managers and assists with technology support for the university website. 

Zach KincaidZach Kincaid

Zach Kincaid is responsible for the branding, publications and marketing for the university. He works closely with departments across the campus including advancement and admissions, managing projects that include recruitment materials and the magazine for alumni and friends. Before coming to Georgia College in 2005, he served as director of public relations at Oklahoma Baptist University, winning several CASE awards for admissions materials and overall campaign messaging. For about five years, he also oversaw publications at Trinity International University outside Chicago. Prior to his tenure in education, Zach worked in live entertainment marketing with national concert tours and continues to consult for film and product marketing. He holds a master's degree in history (Trinity) and a bachelor's in english (Washington University in St. Louis). He teaches two courses in the history department at Georgia College.
 
BarbaraBarbara Monnett

A graduate of GCSU, Barbara Monnett has held several positions at GCSU since she came to the university in 1990. Currently, she is the webmaster and has the overall responsibility for maintaining the Georgia College Web site. She routinely works with GCSU faculty and staff to help them design their web pages and ensure they are up to date.

Erin Warnock is a 2004 graduate of GCSU with a Bachelor's degree in English.  She helps to maintain the day-to-day operations of the department as well as offer administrative support to the University Communications and University Television staff.  She also maintains the databases for the online events calendar, the online campus directory, the Campus Marquee in front of Maxwell Student Union, and manages the university's switchboard.

AmandaAmanda Walk
Amanda Walk started working with University Communications in February 2009. A native of Haddock, Georgia, Amanda has always been familiar with Georgia College.  She transferred from Macon State in fall of 2008 as a Philosophy major. She enjoys reading and traveling.  Amanda plans to attend graduate school at the University of Georgia.

Elizabeth is a senior at Georgia College & State University majoring in Criminal Justice. She transferred from Georgia Military College in 2007. Elizabeth began working in University Communications as a switchboard operator in the Fall of 2008. After college, she plans to work for a facility that helps to rehabilitate juveniles.

A native of Macon, Georgia,  Mark is a recent graduate of Georgia College
& State University achieving a B.B.A. with a concentration in management
information systems. He is currently assisting University Communications
under the direction of the university webmaster and plans to receive his master's degree in management information systems from GCSU.

Bill WendtBill Wendt

Bill was born and raised in Redlands, California until his family was transferred to RAFB, in Warner Robins, GA. He began working in theater and film management during high school and then moved to the music business working as a recording and live audio engineer, concert production manager and tour manager. After retiring "from the road" Bill came to Milledgeville and completed a BBA in Management at Georgia College.  In 1986 he was subsequently hired as the college's official campus videographer and sound engineer. Since that time he has served as the Television Studio and Video Production Manager, Video Producer/Director and as the Director of Broadcasting. He is currently a member of the Georgia Association of Broadcasters, the SouthEast Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors, the Country Music Association and the Memphis Barbecue Network. Bill is married to April, a graduate of GCSU's Master of Special Education program who serves as the Middle Grades Special Ed Lead Teacher in Greensboro. Bill enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends, living the lake life and is an avid supporter of Georgia music and Georgia football.

Chris has been with University Television since January 2005. He is a 2003 graduate of GCSU with a B.A. in Mass Communication.  His duties at University Television Resources include; managing the television studio, videotaping and editing events around campus and in the community, and assisting students with assignments. Born in Augusta, GA, and raised in nearby Harlem, GA, Chris now lives in Milledgeville with his wife Lauren LaFavor Brown, a 2004 graduate of GCSU and their new son Gage.  Hobbies include photography and listening to music.

Stacey LumleyStacey Lumley

Stacey was born in Macon, Ga. In 1999 he completed his course work and graduated with a B.A. in Mass Communication. Prior to working for MPR, Stacey worked for Cox Communication, Hawkins Media, spending time in commercial and multi-camera productions. Stacey is very proficient in camera operation, digital video editing, and is certified with Apple on Final Cut Pro and is a certified steady cam operator. He has worked full time for UTV since 2000. Stacey lives in Macon with his wife Rebecca, a GCSU Mass Communication graduate, and their son Rhett.  In his spare time, Stacey enjoys live music and knocking around on his family farm.

Kristen is from Richmond Hill, Ga. and a junior Mass Communication major with a concentration in Telecommunications and a minor in Art History.  After graduation, she plans to continue her education by attending graduate school or working for a news studio along the lines of production.  Kristen is a member of Bobcat Media Productions as well as Zeta Tau Alpha.  She was also selected for the 2008-09 Georgia Education Mentorship Program and will be mentoring under the General Manager for Fleishman-Hillard Inc. in Atlanta. Kristen enjoys working and  keeping busy.  In her free time, she enjoys writing, traveling or watching a good movie.

Dustin is from Lookout Mountain, GA near Chattanooga, TN. and a junior Mass Communication major with a concentration in Telecommunications.  He hopes to either go to graduate school to improve his broadcast journalism skills or enter into the career field as a broadcast journalist. He also would love to do feature stories with Sports. Some of Dustin's interests include his faith in God, family, sports, music, movies, good reporting and video production. An interesting fact about Dustin is that in March of 2006, he was selected to represent the state of Georgia as a Free Spirit Scholar. The Al Neuharth Free Spirit Scholarship program is designed to select the top two journalists out of each state coming out of high school. Al Neuharth is the founder of USA Today.
