John Hachtel

John Hachtel leads University Communications’ team of media professionals in media relations; photography; web and social media development; radio and video production; and publications and marketing. Hachtel is an award-winning higher education marketing and communications expert with 20 years of experience managing both internal and external communications. He earned a bachelor’s degree in English at the University of Delaware in Newark, Del., and master’s degree in legal and ethical studies at the University of Baltimore in Baltimore, Md.

Erin Warnock

Erin Warnock is a 2004 graduate of Georgia College with a Bachelor's degree in English and is currently pursuing her Master's in Public Administration. She helps to maintain the day-to-day operations of the department as well as offer administrative support to the University Communications, University Television, and WRGC staff.  She maintains the university email lists, events calendars, the online campus directory, the Campus Marquee in front of Maxwell Student Union, and manages the university's switchboard.

Bill Wendt

Bill Wendt began working at Georgia College in 1986 as the campus audio engineer and videographer after 12 years of audio, video and film production and management experience. Bill hold a BBA in Management from the J. Whitney Bunting College of Business and is the director of Broadcasting, overseeing University Television, WRGC FM and the campus cable system. He is a member of the Georgia Association of Broadcasters, the SouthEast Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors and the Country Music Association. Bill is married to April, a graduate of GC's Master of Special Education program who serves as an instructor and Special Education Placement Supervisor in the John H. Lounsbury College of Education.  He enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends, living the lake life and is an avid supporter of Georgia music, Georgia football and Memphis BBQ. 

Mike Wooten
Operations Manager of WRGC-FM

Mike Wooten is an award-winning radio news director, anchor and reporter with more than 12 years experience in broadcasting.   A graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in journalism, Mike also served 10 years as director of communications for the Clarke County School District, where he supervised the cable television channel and webcasts.  He operates the university’s new public radio station, WRGC-FM, 88.3 on the dial, an affiliate of Georgia Public Broadcasting.

Stacey Lumley

Stacey Lumley was born in Macon, Ga. In 1999 he completed his course work and graduated with a B.A. in Mass Communication. Prior to working for MPR, Stacey worked for Cox Communication, Hawkins Media, spending time in commercial and multi-camera productions. Stacey is very proficient in camera operation, digital video editing, and is certified with Apple on Final Cut Pro and is a certified steady cam operator. He has worked full time for UTV since 2000. Stacey lives in Macon with his wife Rebecca, a Georgia College Mass Communication graduate, and their son Rhett.  In his spare time, Stacey enjoys live music and knocking around on his family farm.

Chris Brown

Chris Brown has been with University Television since January 2005. He is a 2003 graduate of Georgia College with a B.A. in Mass Communication.  His duties at University Television Resources include; managing the television studio, videotaping and editing events around campus and in the community, and assisting students with assignments. Born in Augusta, Ga, and raised in nearby Harlem, Ga, Chris now lives in Milledgeville with his wife Lauren LaFavor Brown, a 2004 graduate of GC and their new son Gage.  Hobbies include photography and listening to music.

Kyle Brogdon

Kyle Brogdon is an experienced marketing and public relations leader within multiple communications mediums. A 1996 graduate of Georgia College, Kyle oversees production of Georgia College publications, advertising and the twice-yearly magazine for alumni and friends, Connection.  He has earned many state and national awards for developing creative solutions to achieve marketing goals.

Candace Morrow

A Milledgeville native, Candace Morrow joined Georgia College in 2010 after a few years of writing/reporting for a string of national and regional trade magazines based in Atlanta, Ga. She earned a bachelor's degree in print journalism from Georgia State University. In her current role, she is responsible for developing news and feature stories highlighting key university messages for distribution on the web, in publications and to the media. She works closely with individuals across all areas of the university and of diverse backgrounds.

Brittiny Barber

Brittiny Barber joined the Communications team after several years in  television news. She graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2008, with a B.S. in Broadcasting. After a two year stint at KTXS in Abilene, TX, she moved back to her native state to work as a television reporter in Macon. That brought her valuable experience in all aspects of news from  producing to reporting and videography. Those skills will help her work with the media as they cover events on campus. Brittiny is proud to be a part of University Communications and work for the alma-mater of her fiance' Donald Johnson, a former Georgia College baseball player. She enjoys Atlanta Braves baseball, traveling and anything outdoors.

Barbara Monnett

A graduate of Georgia College, Barbara Monnett has held several positions at GC since she came to the university in 1990. Currently, she is the webmaster and has the overall responsibility for maintaining the Georgia College Web site. She routinely works with GC faculty and staff to help them design their web pages and ensure they are up to date.

Spencer Gore

Spencer Gore is a recent graduate of the University of Georgia where he received his bachelor’s degree in Economics.  He is a native of the area, born and raised in Gray, GA.  Spencer began working as a Graduate Assistant for University Communications in January of 2012 and is currently pursuing his master's degree in Management Information Systems.
