Participant Testimonials
"These days I smell good, I breathe much better, and I have significantly more disposable income. One year down, forty to go. It was my time, and I hope if you smoke, you’re feeling like this is your time, right now, and you sign up the next time GC offers the Freedom From Smoking program. I’m grateful I did (and so are all my friends and family)."

"Twenty-six years of smoking was enough. I decided to quit and chose to go through the Smoking Cessation class administered by Amy Whatley. It was great. I took each session seriously and it has paid off in the long run. The class offered ways of looking at smoking that I hadn't thought of before. I started to cut back before the actual quit day. Deciding to quit was the easy part, deciding not to smoke was hard. However, I am still smoke free as of today. Part of the program required me to write a “goodbye” letter to cigarettes. I wrote a poem instead."

"About a week or two after I quit my 5 year old grandson whispered in my ear, “Nana, I am very proud of you for not smoking anymore.” It’s been just over 6 weeks since I quit, and the memory of that sweet moment still brings tears to my eyes. I realize now that this one habit actually had an impact on more than just me. I think, how selfish of me."
