Academics at Early College
Georgia College Early Collge (GCEC) prepares and enables highly motivated students to complete in only six years a high school diploma and up to 60 hours college credit. Each GCEC student, many of whom are first generation college-bound students, meet high expectations and rigorous college work. GCEC has an interdisciplinary curriculum with a strong focus on service and problem based learning. The curriculum is based on the looping middle school model. The best practices model will be based upon the work of Henry Levin (Accelerated Schools) and the University Park Campus School in Worcester, MA.
