The Specialist in Education (Ed.S.) program
offered in Educational Leadership provides
advanced study for qualified master
educators. The program of study builds upon
work completed at the master's level. The
Specialist in Education program in Education
Leadership is organized around cohorts.
Each cohort is supervised by one faculty
member who assures that students meet all
program standards prior to graduation.
Coursework is organized around thematic
blocks that address school improvement
issues.
Admission to and
matriculation with this degree program is by
cohort only. A current Georgia L-5
certificate is required for admission to
this program. (A T-5 certification will not
substitute for the L-5). Other requirements
for graduation and/or recommendation for
certification include satisfactory
completion of electronic portfolio with
requirements set forth by the cohort leader.
