Library Media/Instructional Technology Updates
The College of Education would like to welcome Dr. Eunjung (Grace) Oh to the Library Media/Instructional Technology program in the Foundations, Secondary Education, and Educational Technology Department. Grace joined the COE faculty in August 2011 and has recently completed her Ph.D. degree from the University of Georgia. Grace brings instructional technology expertise, as well as private sector Human Resources experience, to her work here at Georgia College.
In accordance with Georgia’s Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) guidelines, Georgia College is in the process of establishing an M.Ed. in Instructional Technology which will carry initial certification at the S5 level. Although Georgia College’s degree in Educational Technology with a focus on Instructional Technology has been in existence for a number of years, the new certified degree will adhere to the TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) Standards. Dr. Chris Greer and Dr. Grace Oh are overseeing preparation for program approval and initial site visits in the fall.
