The Beth Rihm Award
The Beth Rihm Award is named in honor of Beth Rihm, a special education major from Snellville, Georgia, who was tragically killed in an automobile accident in 2003. Beth was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority and extremely active in sorority philanthropy and in volunteerism in the local community.
This award is given yearly to the graduating senior in the special education program who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to others through volunteer service in the community. It is presented annually at the John H. Lounsbury College of Education Honors Convocation beginning spring 2004 and will also be displayed in the Special Education and Educational Leadership office on a permanent plaque.
