Experiential Transcripts
The experiential transcript reflects a student's total learning experience at Georgia College by documenting the wide range of educational opportunities outside the classroom. Members of the faculty and staff who provide oversight for the quality of these experiences validate the documentation.There are seven categories documented on a student's experiential transcript.
Service Learning This category documents service experiences linked to a specific class and designed to enhance or reinforce classroom knowledge. Please note that service learning hours must be reported by a supervising member of the faculty.
Community Service This category documents service that meets a community need but is not linked to a specific class. These hours are must reported through the GIVE Center, the university's volunteer community service clearing house.
Internships This category documents professional experiences that provide an opportunity to put classroom knowledge into practice or learn more about a specific profession. Students are responsible for posting their internships along with name of supervising faculty.
Scholarly and Creative Endeavors This category documents activities or performances that demonstrate scholarly or creative endeavors beyond the classroom. This category includes conference presentations and theatrical or musical performances. Students are responsible for posting these experiences along with name of supervising faculty.
Study Abroad This category documents credit-bearing study abroad experiences. These hours will be posted by a staff member in the Center for International Education. Please consult that department if your experience does not appear.
Awards & Recognition This category documents formal recognitions by affiliated Georgia College organizations. Students are responsible for posting these experiences along with the name of a faculty or staff member for verification.
Distinguished Campus Leadership This category documents recognized leadership contributions to the university community. Students are responsible for posting these experiences along with the name of a faculty or staff member for verification.
Updating, Requesting & Viewing Your Experiential Transcript
Updating Your Experiential Transcript
Students may update their transcript by logging in to PAWS - Click Student & Financial Aid tab - Click Experiential Transcript - Click Enter An Experience. Paper submissions are no longer accepted. Make sure you have the proper verification authority (faculty or staff) when you make your submissions.
Requesting Your Experiential Transcript
You can download and print out an experiential transcript request and bring it to the Office of Academic Engagement in Beeson W2 or put it in Campus mail to CBX 101.
Viewing Your Experiential Transcript
You can view your experiential transcript online by logging in to PAWS - click "student records," and "display experiential transcript."
