About Ambassadors

The purpose of the ambassador team is the positive promotion of Georgia College and its public liberal arts mission.  The ambassadors serve as a vital link between the university’s student body, prospective students and their families, staff, alumni, and friends.  The team is an institutional organization under the direction of the Office of Enrollment Management with advisors Suzanne Pittman, Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management, and Allyson Epps, Coordinator of New Student Programs.


Any full-time Georgia College student with a minimum 2.75 GPA may apply to be a student ambassador during recruitment, which is held each Fall Semester.  Those interested in applying must first fill out an application and then attend a meet and greet with current members and advisors.  Following the meet and greet, selected candidates will go on to interview. 


Requesting Ambassadors

The ambassadors are happy to help with events across Georgia College's community.  Requests must be made at least one month prior to the event.  After your request is received, the team parliamentarian will contact you to confirm details.  For ambassador formal, members wear a navy suit, while ambassador casual is khaki pants and a team polo.  The types of events the team works include advancement fundraising events, enrollment management recruitment events, events for the offices of the president and student affairs, etc.  Please indicate in the event description if your event will have golf carts.  **Golf carts must be requested by the requester through the physical plant office.** Simply fill out the form below to make your request.
