International Education Scholarship (Returning)


Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Performance in International Studies

  • Status: current enrollment at GCSU
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Involvement in some aspect of campus life that seeks to promote the internationalization of the college experience, e.g., membership in the International Club
  • Shows promise to continue in international studies 
  • Contact the International Education Center for further instructions regarding the application procedure

Global Scholars Alumni Fund Grants

  • Status: Freshman to graduate; Male or female; Any major
  • Provide primarily non-academic emergency financial aid to students who are non-US citizens studying at GCSU or GCSU students studying abroad
  • Separate grant application obtained from and submitted directly to International Education Center
  • Full-time enrollment for both semesters for the coming academic year

Guy Herbert Wells Alumni Scholarship

  • Status: freshman to graduate students participating in a Study Abroad program
  • Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
  • Full-time enrollment for both semesters of the academic year
  • Separate study abroad scholarship application obtained from and submitted directly to the International Education Center

Hoy Taylor International Scholars Alumni Scholarship

  • Status: freshman to graduate international students
  • Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
  • Full-time enrollment for both semesters of the academic year

Virginia Daniel Weir Alumni Scholarship

  • Status: freshman to graduate students participating in a study abroad program
  • Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
  • Full-time enrollment for both semesters of the academic year
  • Separate study abroad scholarship application obtained from and submitted directly to the International Education Center
  • Awards available for students and faculty
  • Scholarship administered by the Assistant VP for International Studies
