Donor Recognition

President's Society

The President's Society recognizes those individuals, corporations, and foundations that make the most generous gifts to Georgia College each fiscal year. The following levels of giving honor the first four presidents of what is now Georgia College & State University. All President's Society members, in addition to being included in our annual honor roll of giving, are invited to attend an annual recognition dinner in the fall with President Leland.

Chappell Circle

The Chappell Circle honors the first president of what is now Georgia College & State University, J. Harris Chappell. Dr. Chappell served the university from 1891 to 1904. This circle of giving recognizes those individuals and organizations that contribute $10,000 or more to the Georgia College & State University Foundation between July 1 and June 30.

Parks Circle

The Parks Circle commemorates the second president of the university, Marvin McTyeire Parks. President Parks served from 1905 to 1926. This circle recognizes those individuals and organizations that contribute $5,000 to $9,999 to the Georgia College & State University Foundation between July 1 and June 30.

Beeson Circle

The Beeson Circle memorializes the third president of Georgia College, J. Luther Beeson. He became president of Georgia State College for Women in 1927 and served until 1934. This circle recognizes those individuals and organizations that contribute $2,500 to $4,999 to the Georgia College & State University Foundation between July 1 and June 30.

Wells Circle

The Wells Circle honors the service of Guy Herbert Wells, the fourth president of the institution. Dr. Wells served from 1934 to 1953. This circle recognizes those individuals and organizations that contribute $1,000 to $2,499 to the Georgia College & State University Foundation between July 1 and June 30.

Annual Giving Clubs

The following giving clubs recognize annual contributions made by individuals, corporations, and foundations that make a significant impact in the life of GCSU students and faculty. All Annual Giving Clubs are included in our annual honor roll of giving.

$500 - $999  University Club
$250 - $499  Blue and Green Club
$100 - $249  Century Club
$50  Young Alumni Club (1-5 years since graduation)
