National Pan-Hellenic Council

The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) is a collaborative organization of nine historically African American, international fraternities and sororities. The nine NPHC organizations are sometimes collectively referred to as the "Divine Nine."

Georgia College & State University currently has four active chapters of the Divine Nine:

  • Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
  • Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
  • Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
  • Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

Divine Nine organizations put an emphasis on uplifting people of color. Our organizations all have national programs intended for the advancement of Black America, but neither the NPHC, nor its member, national, or chapter organizations discriminate on the basis of race or religion.

NPHC Membership Intake

Membership intake for NPHC organizations is coordinated by the chapters, their sponsoring local alumni chapter, and supported by the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life. Membership intake opportunities take place at various times during the academic year.
