Spend a Semester with Georgia College in Washington... Leave with a lifetime experience!

The Georgia College in Washington (GC in DC) program draws from an extensive network of hundreds of public and private sector contacts to provide internships in some of the most engaging professional settings in the nation. Internship opportunities are available for students majoring in the humanities, mass communication, business, social sciences, natural and environmental and related sciences. Working and living in Washington, D.C., presents numerous rewarding experiences that are second to none.

The GC in DC program offers two internship tracks.  The Legislative Internship track places the student in a legislative office in Washington D.C..  The second track is the WISH Internship.  Georgia College partners with Washington Intern Student Housing (WISH).  WISH partners with government agencies,  advocacy groups, think tanks, multinational corporations, embassies, trade associations, the court system, and the media, providing opportunities in American government and politics, business and consulting, international relations and conflict resolution, and media and communications.

During the program, seminars and forums enrich the student experience. Participation in these programs expands the internship involvement and assists students in creating meaningful relationships with other program participants.

Students will be enrolled at Georgia College during the internship semester.
