GEM | The Application Process
Applications for GEM are taken each semester, and undergraduate students from all disciplines are invited to apply. Students can pick up an application at the Office of Academic Engagement (W-1 Beeson Hall) or download one by following the link below. Students may also pickup or download an information handout, which provides a brief summary of the program, and an interview handout, which will help them prepare for their GEM interview.

Applicants are selected based on factors such as their interest in leadership and professional development, commitment to active particiption in the program, involvement in extra/co-curricular organizations and activities, academic achievement, poise, professionalism, and ability to communicate effectively. If selected to participate, students will officially begin their participation the following academic year.
To apply to the GEM program, students must have a 3.0 GPA, completed at least one semester at GCSU, accumulated at least thirty hours of academic credit, or gained special permission from the coordinator of leadership programs. Student must then gain acceptance into the program through a competitive selection process that includes the submission of an application packet and an interview with the GEM Advisory and Selection Committee.
