Student News: Double major chosen as GC's Academic Recognition Day student
Double major Leslie Albrycht has been chosen Georgia College's 2013 Academic Recognition Day student. She is being recognized by the chancellor of the University System of Georgia, the Georgia Senate and House of Representatives, and will receive special recognition at this year's graduation ceremony.
During her time here at Georgia College she has been active in Baptist Collegiate Ministries and has been employed at Baldwin High School Youth Enrichment Services, serving as a tutor.
She has received the Pauline Kelly Malone Scholarship, the Ralph Norman Scholarship the R.A. Bowen Trust Scholarship and the Ty Cobb Scholarship.
This summer she will be serving as a summer missionary in Oklahoma at a home for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
In the fall, she will be attending the University of Georgia to obtain a Master in Social Work with a concentration in Community Development and Empowerment. She hopes to pursue a career working in prevention programs or advocacy for children and teenagers.
