Transcripts One official copy of all transcripts from undergraduate and graduate institutions should be submitted to the Graduate Admissions Office at the time of application.
Standardized Tests Public Administration requires the GRE (general test only) or the MAT for admission.
GRE To be granted regular admission status, the applicant must score at least 1200 on the MPA admissions formula. The formula is:
GRE verbal score + GRE quantitative score + (100 times undergraduate grade point average) = admission score
Applicants may be granted provisional admission status if a score is at least 1000, but under 1200.
***Please Note*** We are currently converting the new GRE test scores to old GRE test scores and using the old test scores in the MPA admissions formula. You may view the GRE Conversion Table here.
MAT To be granted regular admission, the applicant must score at least 670 on the MPA admissions formula. The formula is:
MAT + (100 times undergraduate grade point average) = admission score
Applicants may be granted provisional admission status if a score is at least 620, but less than 670.
The test date must be within the past five years. You do not need to submit scores from a subject achievement test. The GRE is now only given electronically at Sylvan Learning Centers, located throughout the U.S., including a site in Macon. The MAT is administered at both our Milledgeville 478-445-5016 and Warner Robins 478-327-7376 campuses. For more test information, try these web sites:
Health Forms Students are required to submit immunization records. The Certificate of Immunization requires a physician's signature.
