Pi Sigma Alpha


Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society, is the only honor society for college students of political science and government in the United States.

Benefits of Membership include:

Recognition of academic excellence in political science Forum for scholarly activities Philanthropic activities and community service Leadership experience for office holders Social and professional networking.

What are the criteria for membership?

For full membership, undergraduates must have completed at least 60 Hours (junior status) including transfer credit recognized by Georgia College; must have completed at least 15 hours in POLS; and have maintained at least a 3.0 GPA for all undergraduate work.

Can I participate in PSA with less than 60 Hours?

Yes, as a MENTEE. For undergraduates who have met the GPA requirement but have not reached 60 hours, you can be active and participate in meetings and programs as a MENTEE. However, Mentees are not eligible to be an officer nor eligible for full national membership until full membership until full membership criteria has been met.
