US & GA Government Requirements

To prepare for the Georgia Government Exam, download and study The Georgia Government Guide  (pdf).   The exam may be taken anytime during normal business hours, Monday through Friday.  Contact the Government & Sociology Department in Arts and Sciences 2-03.

The U.S. and Georgia constitution requirements can be satisfied by earning a passing grade in POLS 1150, Politics and Society or its equivalent taken at another University System of Georgia institution. Transfer students who bring credit for the core American government course from a non-University System of Georgia institution have satisfied the U.S. constitution portion of the requirement but not the Georgia constitution portion. The Georgia constitution requirement can be satisfied by passing POLS 2201 State and Local Government or by passing an examination. The exam is administered by the Government and Sociology Department.
