Student News: Regional Competition of the AMTA

Mock Team

Georgia College participated at the Regional Competition of the AMTA (American Mock Trial Association) on February 15-17, 2013 held in Atlanta, GA. The competition was hosted by the University of Georgia at the Fulton County Courthouse. Twenty-four teams competed with only six schools securing a trophy: Duke, Emory, UNC-Chapel Hill, University of Georgia, Kennesaw State and Georgia College. Georgia College won the esteemed AMTA Spirit Award at the 2013 Regional Mock Trial Competition.

Congratulations to the students and to Jennifer Hammack, Associate Professor in the Department of Government and Sociology who prepared the team for this competition!
