Charles Ubah, Ph.D., Professor of Criminal Justice in the Department of Government & Sociology was recently re-elected as President of African Criminology and Justice Association.  The election was held during the annual conference of the American Society of Criminology held in Atlanta.  This will be Dr. Ubah’s second term as president.

Also at the conference, Dr. Ubah presented a paper entitled, “A Systematic and Critical Examination of a Very Important Issue in Corrections: Lessons for 21st Century Criminology.”  The article provides a systematic and critical examination of offender rehabilitation which is a very important but controversial issue in corrections that continues to divide policy makes, correctional practitioners, and scholars and the general public.
