Faculty News: Assistant Professor partners with Westminster Schools

Updated: 05-02-2013

Dr. Jason Rich presented a lecture at Westminster Schools recently, as part of their Peer Leadership Course. The focus of his lecture was helping high school seniors understand affirmative action and to help them distinguish between fact and fiction regarding racial, ethnic and economic considerations in the college acceptance process.

He discussed pending cases before the U.S. Supreme Court and highlighted institutional legacy admission and gains made in the area of gender and college enrollment over the years.

Dr. Rich will return to Westminster Schools next year to lecture on shifting policies, changing demographics, the college experience and community building.
