Welcome to the College of Health Sciences

Our Mission
The College of Health Sciences' mission is to provide undergraduate and graduate programs in disciplines that emphasize health education, promotion, maintenance, and restoration. Liberal arts constructs permeate the health science majors thereby enhancing an understanding of the diverse, changing and complex health needs and values of society.

Our Vision
The College of Health Sciences encourages the university community to embrace the concept of health as multi-dimensional and to respect and understand the unique role holistic health plays in the quality of individual and community life. Graduates will attain intellectual integrity, an appreciation of diversity, and commitment to the best for self, family, and the global society.

Guiding Principles
The College of Health Sciences' first priority is the education of competent, caring professionals with a comprehensive world view that promotes leadership, initiative, accountability, stewardship and a moral and ethical respect for others.

The College of Health Sciences is committed to contributing to the optimal health of those who live and work in the university environment and to community partnerships that strive to insure health.

The College of Health Sciences views holistic health as an integrated method of functioning which incorporates the physical, spiritual, cognitive, emotional and sociocultural well being of an individual or community.

The College of Health Sciences is dedicated to quality in all aspects of the school's operation and strives for integrity in decisions, services, and actions.

Apply for an External Scholarship
Academically motivated students are encouraged to seek external scholarships, fellowships, and grants to pursue their longer term academic and professional goals. Successful scholarship applications early in one's college career can be used to leverage future scholarship and other opportunities.
