Meet the staff.....
Sequena Moon became the Program Coordinator for The High Achievers Program in November of 2009. Although new to the Office of Afterschool Achievement, Sequena has worked for Georgia College since May of 2002 formerly in the department of University Communications. As Program Coordinator, she is responsible for managing the ongoing development of the High Achievers Program including planning, organization, coordination and management of daily and special activities. Duties also include the onsite supervision of staff. Sequena is a 2004 graduate of GC with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and a 2008 graduate with a Master's degree in Public Administration. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Liason-Mayor's omission on Youth Leadership
Isaac Cleveland was born and raised in Elberton , Georgia. He attended Blackwell Memorial High School. Isaac graduated from Clark College, Atlanta, Ga. He earned a Bachelors of Art degree in Business Administration. While at Clark, he crossed the burning sands of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. In the summer of 2002, Mr. Cleveland earned his certification in Business Education and a certification in Educational leadership from the College of Education at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. In 2007, Mr. Cleveland obtained an EDS Degree (Education Specialist Degree) in Education leadership from Cambridge College, Cambridge Massachusetts. He is a Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He obtained a Masters Degree in Management Science from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. The next 20 years, he held professional and senior management positions at Xerox and IBM Corporations. In 2002, Mr. Cleveland became the Assistant Principal at Greensboro Elementary School in Greensboro, GA. In 2006, Mr. Cleveland became Principal of Hancock Central High School; In July 2009, Mr. Cleveland became the first African-American High School Principal in Laurens County, when he became Principal of Dublin High School. Mr. Cleveland retired from Laurens Education in 2010. In 2011, Mr. Cleveland became a part time employee of GC; working in the Office of After school Achievement. He is currently the Special Projects Leader for the Mayor’s Commission on Youth Leadership.
