What the High Achievers have to say about the Program....
The High Achievers Program believes that every young person has the potential to become a leader in his/her community by participating in high quality education enrichment activities, gaining employment knowledge and experience, and valuing economic independence . Our goal is to ensure that youth become effective and participatory future leaders. We expose youth to different countries and cultures, helping them become well-rounded individuals ready to live in a global society.
The High Achievers Program Goals
Goal 1: To provide apprenticeship-based learning for high school students during the academic year and offer project-based learning to elementary school students during the summer.
Goal 2: To incorporate civic agency goals so that the students develop civic knowledge of their country and community, learn and apply the civic skills of organizing, communicating, and working with others.
Goal 3: To value civic efficacy where students understand their capacity to be change agents among their peers, throughout their community, and among the global society.
Goal 4: To establish and sustain program partnerships with local providers.
