You're invited to join us for Homecoming 2023! This year's theme is "Homecoming Y2K", a celebration of Y2K iconography, media, and culture. Homecoming festivities kick-off on Monday, Feb. 13, 2023. From cheering on the Bobcats to announcing the Homecoming Court, there will be a lot of fun and exciting activities for all ages to participate in.

Office Decorating Contest Begins

Faculty and staff around campus are encouraged to showcase their school pride by decorating their door or entire office area for Homecoming in the theme of "Homecoming Y2K: A celebration of Y2K iconography and media/culture." Each entry should represent the 2000's and what they mean to you.

Random Acts of Kindness for Friends: Front Campus, 11 a.m


Tuesday

I Heart GCsu Event: Front Campus, 3 P.M.

Faculty, staff and students are invited to share in the love of all things GCSU. Assorted desserts and refreshments will be served, along with music and lots of fun. Homecoming t-shirts will be given out to the first 500 students to claim one. **T-shirts are for students only**

Y2 Be Fit, New Equipment Launch party: Wellness and Recreation Center, 4 p.m.

Georgia College’s Wellness and Recreation Center the invites the campus community to join us as we showcase over 60 new pieces of Fitness Equipment. You’ll find it’s perfect mix of technology and state-of-the-art strength and cardio equipment designed for individual training, group fitness, beginners and gurus! Participants will enjoy refreshments, giveaways, equipment demos, and more.

ThinkFast Trivia: The Den (Lower Level of MSU), 6:30 p.m.

Come test your pop culture knowledge by participating in ThinkFast trivia. Event starts at 6:30pm in the Den. Free food and a chance to win $200 in Amazon gift cards.


Thursday 

Random Acts of Kindness for community: the den, 11 a.m

 

Battle of the bobcats: Magnolia Ballroom, 7 p.m.

Join the Campus Activities Board for this annual musical event. Student-led bands and musical artists will compete to be the ultimate best of the Bobcats. Winner will get to open for the Spring Concert.

While visiting campus, come visit the recent upgrades made to the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) Plaza. Whether you are a current student, an alum of this institution, or a dedicated supporter, this Plaza is a place where all can come together to celebrate the history of the Divine Nine.

Homecoming Parade: 3 p.m.

Join the GC community as we celebrate at the Homecoming Parade. Departments, Student Organizations, Athletics and community groups are invited to participate and show your school spirit.

Cultural Center Homecoming Mixer: The Hub in Blackbridge Hall, 4 p.m.

Join us at the Cultural Center for a drop-in reception to learn about Cultural Center programming, services and space while mingling with current Bobcats, alumni, faculty and staff connected to the Cultural Center.

GCSU Baseball vs. Florida Southern: John Kurtz Field, 5 p.m.

Tent City: 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. Centennial Center

Tent City is the official "Tailgating" event for the Homecoming Games and offers a place for everyone to gather in a convenient location.  All Tent City participants must register in order to participate. The registration deadline is Friday, Feb 10. Tent City is an opportunity for current students, faculty, staff, and alumni to rent a tent or bring a small personal tent as part of the homecoming celebration. Groups may choose to grill or bring prepared foods to serve their guests. Tailgating activities may begin at 12 p.m. at the tent locations and must conclude by 4 p.m. Tent rentals range from $325 to $750, with sizes ranging from 15x15' to 30'x30', and all rentals will receive one or more tables plus chairs. Groups bringing a small personal tent will only be charged a $40 reservation fee.

GCSU Basketball vs. Clayton St.: Women at 3:30 p.m. with Men at 5:30 p.m.

Come cheer on the Bobcats as they take on Clayton St. The Homecoming Court will be announced during halftime of both games, with crowning of the King, Queen, Duke and Duchess occurring at the end of the men’s game.

GCSU Softball vs. Converse: Peeler Complex 4 p.m.

Athletics Hall of Fame REception (Invitation Only): Centennial Center Mezzanine, 4:30 p.m.

The 2023 Hall of Fame inductees will be guests at this reception in their honor. The inductees will be recognized and honored at the conclusion of the women’s game.
