REQUIREMENTS/EXPECTATIONS

Requirements

Complete at least 20 hours of Honors course credit to graduate with Honors.                 

Maintain a 3.30 or higher institutional GPA.*

Complete at least 15 hours of service in each of the freshman and sophomore years -- register service hours through the GIVE Center.

Remain in good standing with the program -- take at least one Honors course or Honors option each year until the 20-hour requirement is met.

Expectations

Take a full 15-hour academic load in the fall and spring semesters.

Graduate within four years.

Participate in the intellectual, cultural, and social life of the Honors Program -- in dinner seminars, book discussions, play readings, service activities, the RLC, and other events.

Contribute to campus and/or the local community -- take up leadership roles in campus organizations and/or serve the community. 

Exhibit the highest standards of personal behavior.**

*Students who fall below this minimum will be placed on Honors academic probation for one semester. Failure to achieve a 3.30 GPA or above at the end of academic probation will result in dismissal from the program. There is no opportunity for readmission.

**Honors students found to be in violation of the Honor Code and/or the Code of Conduct may be dismissed from the program at the discretion of the director and the Honors Faculty Council.
