RESIDENTIAL LEARNING COMMUNITY
All Honors students have the opportunity to participate in the Honors Residential Learning Community (RLC), which focuses on global learning and global competence.
We explore various global issues -- issues that transcend political and natural boundaries to affect all of us. These issues include population demographics (including global migration), natural resource management (food, water, and energy), information flow and knowledge creation, economic integration (globalization), international conflict (e.g., terrorism), and the challenges of governance.
As we look beyond the classroom and beyond campus, we expect many of our RLC students to participate in study abroad, international exchange, foreign language, and international service-learning programs. These students will bring their experiences back to campus, continuing our education and reinforcing our commitment to global learning.
