Student Research

STUDENT RESEARCH

The Honors Program promotes student research in numerous ways: by encouraging students to use honors options as a way to do research and to prepare research presentations; by informing students of research conference opportunities such as the Georgia Collegiate Honors Council and the Georgia College Undergraduate Research Conference; by offering research conference grants to honors students who are invited to present their research at academic conferences; and by inviting students to present their research to other honors students on campus.

Honors students can apply for research conference grants of up to $500 by sending a line-item budget; the name, date and location of the conference; confirmation of acceptance of their paper/poster at the conference; and a request for funding to honors@gcsu.edu. Questions may be addressed to the director of the Honors Program at the same e-mail address.

Our research conference grants are made possible, in part, by a generous gift from Dr. Lynne S. Wilcox.
